This is a simple and affordable alternative to a dedicated hardware iBeacon. Suitable for use in retail and other environments where an iOS device can be kept charged to serve as an iBeacon. The iBeacon transmission is compatible with any mobile platform that supports iBeacon technology. The app must be in the foreground for the iBeacon transmitter to be active.
Requires iOS 7.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
